The birthday of someone who has passed away comes every year. Avoiding that day is impossible, so what can you do to bring joy back to that day? This may be the day that made you a parent, or the day that was celebrated with a yearly tradition. Perhaps celebrating the occasion is not the answer. Maybe memorializing it as being a special day even if your person cannot be there to celebrate with you. Have cake, go on that hike, bring family members together, sing a favorite song, whatever brings a smile to your face.
Please share a birthday experience that may help others not only endure the day, but perhaps bring a bit of joy because of the beginning of life.
